1. What is productivity and explain the factors which affect productivity of an organization and the national productivity. Name the different types of productivity measures and discuss how they are determined.
2. Define methods study and discuss its procedure in detail. What could be the objectives of conducting method study on a job and what factors contribute towards selection of a issue for method study?
3. What are tools used by methods engineers for recording and communicating a work method. Recommend suitable techniques for recording data in method study issues relating to:
(a) Factory layout
(b) Material handling
(c) Work place layout.
(d) Gang work.
4. Define a therblig. Write the names of various therbligs and discuss every 1 of them with the help of examples. What is a Simo chart and how is it made?
