Distinguish between:
Ques one g) Cream and lotion.
Ques one h) Emulsion and suspension
Ques one i) Spirits and syrup
Ques one j) Percolation and maceration
Ques one k) Mouth wash and draught
Ques one l) Diluent and binder
Ques one m) provide examples of preservatives effective in basic medium.
Ques one n) What is the percentage of iodine in Weak iodine solution and strong iodine solution.
Ques one o) Why talc is added in aromatic waters.


Section-B

Ques 2) provide applications of dosage forms with examples. (4×5=20)

Ques 3) How extracts of crude drugs could be prepared by cold extraction method.

Ques 4) discuss preparation of extracts.

Ques 5) Enumerate pharmacopoeia of India.

Ques 6) discuss the methods of preparation of glycerides and Aromatic spirit of ammonia.

Section-C

Ques 7) discuss how testing and standardization of extracts could be used to prepare high quality extracts. (3×10=30)

Ques 8) discuss manufacturing procedures for mouth wash and lotion.

Ques 9) Enumerate additives used to prepare dosage forms.

Ques 10) Enumerate the history of pharmacy profession in India and abroad.
