(b) What is Relational algebra ? elaborate its uses ? (6)

3. (a) What is E-R modelling ? discuss the functions of the components of an E-R model. (6)
(b) explain the responsibilities of DBA.

4. (a) What do you mean by database integrity ? explain the different integrity rules. (6)
(b) describe BCNF. How does it differ from 3NF? Why is it considered stronger form of 3NF ? (6)
