Note: Attempt 4 ques. in all, by selecting at lowest 1 ques. from every unit. All ques. carry equal marks.

Unit one

1. a) explain and narrate in short duties of lawyers to the court.

b) What duty does a lawyer owe to his profession and to his clients? explain.

2. Write a critical note on 'Preparation of Case-brief' by an advocate.

Unit two

3. explain the basic principles of accountancy which the lawyers are expected to know and in case of necessity in their routine working.

4. Comment upon the conduct of an advocate in the subsequent referring to the Rules of the Bar council of India:

a) An advocate agrees with his client to charge fee contingent upon the success of a suit.

b) An advocate accepts teaching in a legal regulations faculty while still on the Rolls of a bar council.

Unit three

5. Write a note on the powers of the Disciplinary Committee under part 36 of the Advocates Act.

6. "Respect and allegiance which the counsel owes is not to the person of the Judge but to his office…" In the light of the above statement explain Bar and Bench relations.

Unit four

7. State the facts and main principles of legal regulations laid down in Ali Mohd Kashnuri Vs An Advocate AIR 1960 All. 660.

8. State the facts and principles of legal regulations laid down in Manak Lal Vs Pran Chand AIR 1957 425.
