TEST 3, NOVEMBER 2008 Vth SEMESTER
COURSE NAME: SCRIPTING LANGUAGE FOR BIOINFORMATICS COURSE CODE:07B51BT112 MAX MARKS: 30
COURSE CREDIT: 4 MAX TIME: IH, 30 min
Attempt any 5 questions.
Ql. Explain about wrvcr object and also mention different properties of server object with examples? (5 marks)
02.Write an ASP program to insert, update data of a table. Where table name is Tablet belonging to 1 .mdb database present at the following location c:/abc.
Table 1:
At I A2 |
A3 |
1 I2 |
3 |
1 i 2 |
A |
2 |3 |
5 |
Inert new row into the table Tablet. Update the table Table! were ever A2 value equals to 2 change corresponding A3 value to S. (5 marks)
Q3. Write an ASP program to take nucleotide sequence from the user and find out open reading frames in the sequence. You have to take nucleotide sequence from a HTML file. Stral codons for an open reading frame are ATG or GTG and stop codons arc TAG. TAA, and TGA. Mention the ORf sequence and the position. (5 marks)
Q4.Write a PUP program to represent the HMM model given below.
Where I, 2 3, are indicating the states names. Arrows indicate the transition probabilities. A, T, G. C indicates emission probabilities of each type of nucleotide in the respective states. Your program should take nucleotide sequence from the H LML file should be able to find out states of each character existing in the sequence using viterfci algorithm.
Formula:
V, [i+l ]= e, (x,.,)*max k&Q( vk(i).a*i)
Where *1' indicating present state, k indicating previous state, e' indicates emission probability in symbol existing at position i+l in the sequence for the state I.V indicates transition probability from state k to I. Q indicates all possible states.
