OPTIONAL ENGLIGH – II

Time: three Hours Max. Marks: 90

SECTION-A

1. Annote any 3 of the following: (3x5=15)

i) Like Cato, provide his little Senate Laws,
And sit attentive to his own applause;
While Wits and Templars ev’ry sentence raise,
And wonder with a foolish face of praise.

ii) But most thro’ midnight streets I hear
How the youthful Harlot’s curse

a few 33 years after the Indian government abolished privy purses and spelt the end of the princely order, the traditional royalty of India’s Northeast is stirring up to a new awakening.
