1.(a)Explain the manner in which minimum wages are fixed under the minimum Wages Act 1948. How does it differ from residing wage?
(OR)
(b)"The Minimum Wages Act, 1948 fulfills the aspirations contained in Article 43 of the constitution of India". Elucidate.
2.Define the term 'wages' under the payment of Wages Act. discuss the procedure for deduction of fines from the employee's wages.
3."The concept of Need-based minimum wage evolved by the 15th Indian Labour Conference held in July, 1957 seems to be the need of the hour' – discuss.
4.Bring out the influence of different theories of wages in wage fixation.
5.'Article 39 of the Indian constitution envisages that the state direct its policy, among other things", towards recurring that there is equal pay for equal work for both men and women' – explain.
