1. John Lampert, President of Lampert and Sons, a small manufacturing firm in Bangalore producing electrical appliances, is an entrepreneur with tech. background. He recently moved into a new house, and his spouse asked him to install a few spotlights to accent different areas in the house, such as painting, bookshelf, sculptor etc.
At the local lighting stores, the lamps that might fit the purpose costs far more than Mr. Lampart was willing to pay. He felt there was a real need for low cost attractive spotlights or clamp-on lamp. He explained the idea with a business colleague, who raised a number of ques. such as:
Is there really a need for such a product?
How or where should it be produced (e.g. India or Korea, China, Singapore etc.)?
What arrangements should be made if the lamps were to be produced by Lampert and Sons?
What type of marketing arrangement should be made to sell the product both in domestic and International market?

How should he maintain the quality if the price of the lamp was to be kept low?
