SomeCompany Inc. intends to give its HR team with a tool that helps them in performing the recruitment activities smoothly. a few of the important activities the HR team performs are:
a. Collect and collate data about candidates who apply for jobs
b. Shortlist the candidates for a web-enabled aptitude and tech. test.
c. Assign a date and time against every candidate for the web-enabled test.
d. Record the outcomes of the web-enabled test.
e. Shortlist the candidates for a 1st round of tech. discussion, based on the performance of the candidate in the test.
f. Record the outcomes of the 1st tech. discussion.
g. Shortlist the candidates for a 2nd round of tech. discussion, based on the outcomes of the 1st tech. discussion.
h. Record the outcomes of the 2nd tech. discussion.
i. Shortlist the candidates for a final round of discussion with VP, Technology.
j. Conduct a psychometric analysis test for candidates before the final round of discussion.
k. Record the outcomes of the final round of discussion.
l. Create employment offer letters for those candidates who have been opted.

The Web-enabled Aptitude and tech. Test System (WATTS) is the only existing piece of software with the HR team. WATTS has been in use for several years, and it is a time-tested tool of the HR team. Thus, there is no immediate need perceived for the redevelopment of WATTS.
The management is keen to develop a HR Monitoring and Reporting System (HRMRS) that would seamlessly integrate with WATTS. The identified candidates for the web-enabled aptitude and tech. test by HRMRS should be automatically fed into WATTS using the interfaces (APIs) given by WATTS. WATTS, in turn, would send back the outcome of the candidate to the HRMRS.
HRMRS is also expected to seamlessly integrate with the existing Employee Management System (EMS). The opted candidates from the HRMRS, after acceptance of the employment offer by the candidate, are sent to EMS. EMS has given a set of interfaces to allow such integration with other existing systems.
HRMRS should support of all the features listed (points a to n above). It is also expected to give the workflow module to keep track of the status of a candidate in the recruitment process. For instance, when a candidate has been short listed to appear for a round of tech. discussion, a mail is sent by the system to the concerned person in the organization who is responsible for the tech. discussion. The resume, and the outcomes found until then are sent along with the mail. The outcomes of the tech. discussions are sent back to the HR team, and recorded as well in the backend database.
