Q1.What are the various types of protections that an OS is supposed to extend ?Discuss the mechanisms used to give these protections.

Q2.What components of a computer system is responsible for implementing file concept?Explain the operations that this component must give to support the file.

Q3.What is a scheduler? discuss the different kinds of schedulers that a system with virtual memory support can use.

Q4. consider the subsequent set of processes, with the length of the CPU burst provided in milliseconds.

The processes are presumed to have arrived in the order p1,p2,p3,p4,p5 all at time 0.If Round Robin Scheduling (quantum=2) is used to compute these processes then what will be the avg. waiting time? Furthermore, if every situation switch service time is 0.5 ms,then compute the total situation switching time as well.
