PART A-(10 x two = 20 marks)
1. Mention the different approaches to classification.
2. What is an object state?What is the relationship among objects?
3. Whhy an object oriented approach is needed?
4. Mention the elements used in the usecase model.
5. What is relationship? List the different relationship in the UML.
6. What is the trend and framework?
7. Define a system,subsystem and a model.
8. What is forward and reverse engineering?
9. What are the main tools of Quality Assurance?
10. What is the need for middleware?


PART B-(5 x 16 = 80 marks)

11. (i) discuss the various phases of OOSD life cycle. (8)
(ii) explain the activities involved in Micro and Macro Development
process. (8)

12. (a) Compare the Object Oriented Analysis methods of shaler/Mellor,
Coad/Yourdon ,Rumbaugh and Booch . (16)

(b) (i) explain the Payroll System and represent the classes identified
the system using Booch method. (8)
(ii) Draw the usecase diagram for ATM machine operation.(8)

13 .(a) discuss the different tools(Diagrams)used in UML to represent
the static and dynamic behaviour of the system.

(b) (i) discuss the various views of modeling a Sytsem’s architecture. (8)
(ii) Explain with an example,how an interaction iagrams are used to model the dynamic aspects of a system. (8)


14.(a) (i) explain in detail the metrics to decide the quality of the system.(8)
(ii) discuss the characteristics for determining the high quality of the
system. (8)

(b) (i) discuss with an example ,the activities of Integrating Configuration
Management,Version control and Testing in the situation of
Release Management. (8)

15.(a) discuss how an Object oriented Technology can address the problems of
database and application design in a unified manner in the situation of
a Client/server architecture showing the boundaries of the problem,
scenarios,database model and the design . (16)

(b) Apply Object Oreinted Technology to creation of a Foundation class
Library ststing requirements and showing the complete design.
