PART A — (2 ? 20 = 40 marks)

1. (a) Write an essay on experimental research. choose a topic and draw a design for a parallel group experimental study.
Or
(b) Define a hypothesis. Mention the different sources of hypothesis. Mention the characteristics of a good hypothesis.
2. (a) What are the uses of statistical techniques in educational research? Under what conditions is analysis of covariance done? discuss giving an example.
Or
(b) For a topic ‘‘Effectiveness of Suchman's Inquiry Training Model in Enhancing Performance of XI standard students in Biology’’ on which you have done research, how will you prepare a report? (Remember the report should have at lowest 5 chapters).
PART B — (3 ? 10 = 30 marks)
ans any 3 ques. in about 250 words every.
3. Suggest ten thrust areas in educational research.
4. Differentiate delimitation from limitations.
5. Explain ethnomethodology giving 2 examples.
6. Define norms. How are norms established?
7. Describe Wilcoxon signed rank test. Mention its advantages.
PART C — (5 ? six = 30 marks)
ans any 5 ques. in about 150 words every.
8. Mention 6 uses of computers in educational research.
9. Describe 6 characteristics of educational research.
10. Explain meta analysis bringing out its uses in educational research.
11. Construct an open-ended questionnaire for a research topic of your option.
12. Define the terms validity and reliability. How will you establish reliability of an attitude scale?
13. Under what conditions and with what kind of data do we get a normal probability curve?
14. What do you understand by generalization of findings of research?
15. Differentiate assumption from hypothesis giving an example.
