3.What is a composite reaction?Illustrate the different kinds of composite reaction with suitable examples.

4.The rate constant of a reaction at 25?C is 3.46 X 10 -5 s -1 . compute the Arrhenius factor at 25 ?C provided that the activation energy Ea = 103.873 kJ/mol.

5.Suggest a method to determine the electrode potential of zinc.

6.What is pitting corrosion? provide an example.

7.What are zeolites ? Mention the advantages and disadvantages of zeolite process.

8.Why is it necessary to chlorinate drinking water supply beyond breaking point?

9.Discuss the steps involved in the addition polymerization by free radical mechanism.

10.What are the function of the subsequent moulding constituents?

11 (i) Write a detailed procedure for the determination of different forms of alkalinity.
(ii) define the desalination process by reverse osmosis.

12(a) (i) Deduce different expressions with E,H,A and G

(ii) Derive Maxwell relations with these expressions.

(b)(i) By combining van’t hoff isotherm and gibbs Helmholtz formula illustrate the effect of temperature on equilibrium constant.
(ii) elaborate the applications of van’t hoff equation?

13 (a) (i) Derive a rate formula for unimolecular reaction using collision theory.
(ii) The half period of decomposition orf a compound is 60 min .If the initial concentration is halved ,the half period is decreased to 30 min.What is the order?
