Part A - (Marks : 10 x 2.5 * 25)

1.    What is over utilization of surface and ground water? Explain the reasons and suggest some measures to control the over utilization.

2.    Explain the advantages and troubles associated with the construction of dams with examples.

3.    Define and explain Food Chain in any ecosystem.

4.    Draw the sketch of aquatic ecosystem and explain the details.

5.    What is species diversity? Explain.

6.    Write a note on conservation of biodiversity.

7.    Discuss thermal pollution and its problems.

8.    Define solid waste and mention the sources of solid wastes and their problems on the society.

9.    What is environmental ethics? How do they help man and his society and environment in particular?

10.    What is acid rain? Explain its formation, consequences and control measures.

11.    Describe the problems and solutions of use of fertilizers, pesticides, water logging in Indian agriculture sector.

12.    Define ecosystem. Discuss the primary functions of ecosystems. Explain the complete structure of any ecosystem and write various features that govern the ecosystem dynamics.

14.    Write short notes with examples and remedies on the following:
