part-A (25 Marks)
1.obtain the expression for the quantity of a sphere of radius 'a' from the differential quantity.

2.state the coulomb's legal regulations in SI units and indicate the parameters used in the equations with the aid of a diagram.


3.Define(i)homogeneous and (ii)Isotropic Medium.

4.find the current crossing the portion of the x=0plane described by -p/4=y=p/4m and -0.01=Z=0.01m if J=100cos 2yax(A/m²)

5.state Biot-Savart's legal regulations.

6.Explain the basis for magnetic scalar potential.

7.List out the generalized forms of Maxwell's Equations in differential form.

8.Define uniform plane wave.

9.Define Brewster and Critical angles.

PART-B
10.(a) point charges Q1 and Q2 are respectively located at(4,0,-3) and (2,0,1).If Q2=4nc .find Q1 such that:(i)The 'E' at (5,0,6) has no Z components.(ii)The force on a test charge at (5,0,6)has no X -components.
(b)Obtain the expression for the Electric field and potential due to an infinite line charge at any radial distance.

11.(a)Establish Poisson's and Laplace Equations from Gauss's legal regulations.
(b)Consider 2 thin infinitely long concentric conducting cylinders with inner cylinder of radius (a)and outer radius(b).Derive the expression for its capacitance with air as di-electric assuming needed charge distribution.

12.(a)Find the Magnetic Field Intensity at the center of the circular loop of radius(a)carrying a current(I)along F in Z =0 plane.
(b)Obtain the expressions for energy density and energy stored in static Magnetic Field.

13.(a)Explain the term "Sin Effect resistance"and find its value for copper at 1 Mega hertz.Assume the conductivity of copper as 5.8*10² mhos/meter ?=?0.
(b)prove(E/H)=120pO for free space.

14.(a)An em wave traveling in air is incident normally on a boundary ranging from air and a di-electric having permeability identical as free space and permittivity as 4.prove that one-ninth of the incident power is reflected and 8 -ninths of it is transmitted in to the 2nd Medium.
(b)Determine the resulting electric and magnetic fields of plane wave when it is incident on a perfect conductor normally.

15.(a)Explain the significance of poynting theorem and poynting vector.
(b)A plane wave traveling in a medium of er=1,µr=1 has an electric field intensity of 100vp.determine the energy density in the magnetic field and also the total energy density.

16.Write short notes on the subsequent :
(a)Surface impedance
(b)polarization and its classification.
