Q.1. (a) A satellite at a distance of 40,000 km from a point on the earth's surface radiates a power of three watt from an antenna with a gain of 18 dB in the direction of the observer. obtain the flux density at the receiving point and the power received by the antenna with an effective area of 10 m2. (8)
(b) If the satellite in (Q.3.-a) operates at a frequency of 11 GHz, the receiving antenna has a gain of 52.3 dB. obtain the received power. (8)
