(i)    Define :

1)    Slew rate

2)    CMRR

(ii)    State any four ideal characteristics of OP-Amp.

(iii)    State functions of level shifter and Intermediate stage blocks of OP-Amp.

(iv)    State Four electrical characteristics of IC-741.

(v)    List four types of filters.

(vi)    Draw only block diagram of PLL.

(vii)    Draw only frequency response of

1)    Band pass filter

b) Attempt any TWO of the following :    8

(i)    Compare closed loop and open loop configuration of OP-Amp. Give two reasons why an open loop configuration is not suitable for linear applications.

(ii)    Draw neat diagrams of Active integrator and obtain output expression.

(iii)    Draw ideal voltage transfer curve for OP-Amp under open loop and closed loop. Explain it in short.

2. Attempt any FOUR of the following :    16

a)    Draw block diagram of OP-Amp. Write the functions of all blocks.

b)    Draw ckt. diagram of inverting amplifier and obtain output expressions.

c)    Design and draw OP-Amp based circuit for getting

v0 = 5Vj - 5V2 + sv3

d)    Describe the working of V-I converter with floating load.

e)    In a Schmitt trigger R? = 150Q. R1 = 100 KQ.

Vm = 500MVpp Sine Wave Saturation Voltage = 15V

(i)    Determine the threshold voltages Vjjp and VLTp.

(ii)    Give the value of hysteresis voltage VH.

f)    Draw circuit of fust order high pass filter with labelled frequency response. Give expression of cut off frequency and gain.

3.    Attempt any FOUR of the following :    16

a)    "OP-Amp is used as a scaling amplifier" Support the above statement with its proper ckt. diagram, working principle of output equation.

b)    Draw the circuit diagram of a narrow band reject filter using OP-Amp. State relation for frequency. Draw frequency response.

c)    Draw the circuit of zero crossing detector and explain. Draw related waveforms. Give its applications.

d)    Draw and explain sample and hold ckt. using OP-Amp.

e)    Draw the ckt. of a phase detector and explain.

f)    For the inverting comparator Vm = 1 V sin wave at 500Hz and supply voltage = 15V. Draw output waveform if

(i)    Vref = 0.3 V

(ii)    Vref = - 0.3V

4.    Attempt any FOUR of the following :    16

a)    Draw the circuit diagram of OP-Amp as a subtractor. Derive the relation for output voltage.

b)    Draw and explain temperature compensated Logarithmic amplifier using OP-Amp.

c)    Draw and explain with waveforms Schmitt trigger using IC 555.

d)    Draw transfer characteristics for Inverting and Non-inverting comparator for case Vi < Vref.

e)    In an inverting amplifier let = 100 KQ. = 10 KQ and Vi - lv. Calculate :

(i)    Input current

(ii)    Output voltage

(iii)    Closed loop gain.

f)    In an inverting adder* all resistors are identical. If Vj = 2V.

V2 = 4V. V3 = IV. Calculate V0. What will happen to the output if the polarity of V3 is reversed ?

b)    Explain the working principle of bistable multivibrator using IC 555.

c)    Calculate the TQN. TqFF and the free miming frequency for a stable multivibrator with RA =10 KQ. RB = 5 KQ

d)    In a monostable multivibrator. C = 0.01 |.if and R = 2.7 KQ. Calculate the duration of the output pulse width tp.

e)    Give the classifications of filters and draw their ideal frequency responses. Explain the term Q of filter.

6.    Attempt any FOUR of the following :    16

a)    State any four features and applications of IC 556.

b)    Explain the working of voltage controlled oscillator using IC 555. Also draw related waveform.

c)    What is PLL ? Explain with suitable diagram.

d)    Draw a band pass filter for Q = 3. gain = 5. fc = 1 kHz and sketch its output response.

e)    Design a wide band reject filter having fH = 100 Hz and fL = 1 kHz with gain = 2.
