Instructions:

1. All questioas are compulsory.

2. Illustrate your answers with neat sketches wherever necessary.

3. Figures to the right indicate full marks.

4. Assume suitable data if necessary.

5. Preferably, write the answers in sequential order.

6. Students can demand imperial size drawing sheets or tracing papers for drawing.

Q.l Develop the given architectural sketch (Fig. 1) for an identical twin bungalows for two brothers on a layout plot admeasuring 40m X 25m. Abutting 9m wide internal access road.

The site is fairly leveled. Adequate room sizes and open spaces shall be Proposed. Spilt levels may also be considered in your design The proposed structure shall have a pitched roof.

Area requirements

i) Ground floor:

A) Entrance Verandah	As per design
B) Living room	20.00 Sq. M. approximate
C) Kitchen	10.00 Sq. M. approximate
D) Dining Room	12.00 Sq. M. approximate
E) Common W.C., bath and lobby.	12.00 Sq. M. approximate
F) Bedroom	12.00 Sq. M. approximate
G) Garage for car	20.00 Sq. M. approximate
H) Staircase to be provided to give an access to the first floor.

ii) First Floor

I) Master bedroom including attached toilet 24.00 Sq. M. approximate

J) Children Bedroom 15.00 Sq. M. approximate

K) Common Toilet 06.00 Sq. M. approximate

Part of the first floor may be used as open terrace.

Drawing requirements:

a) i) Ground floor plan to 1:100 scale 20

ii) First floor plan to 1:100 scale. 20

b) Longitudinal section through the buildings to the scale 1:100 25

c) Front and side elevation to the scale 1:100

OR

Front elevation to the scale 1:100 and sketch perspective view 20

d) Side plant showing structure in outline with compound wall and entrance to the plot and entrance to the bungalow including road, pathways, landscape etc. to the scale 1:200 15

Notes:

1) All the drawings should explained the scheme for both bungalows.

2) Assume any other required details suitably.

d. Describe working of DSSS system in detail.

e. What is bit rate and baud rate? Give an example where both are same. Give one example where they are different.

f. What is TDM and FDM? Give any two applications of each technique.
