5S is an accepted practice in the industry to help improve productivity. It has been obtained that industries that have been successful in enhancing the productivity (and won awards of excellence) have adopted this principle. By adopting these good practices banks would be in a position to achieve quantum increase in productivity both in the front-end and back-end operations. 5S Principles would enable the bank to be more customer focused. A direct benefit from this would be increased customer satisfaction and customer delight, and resulting increased business.
